We all, most of us at least, recognize the need to adhere to the strictest rules on a board in which we all are contributors and guests. After all, if we cannot comply with the rules of this private club, then we shouldn't be here.
However, those of us who have been given warnings need to be able to appeal our case.
I made a mistake. That I cannot deny.
But in a world where we are surrounded by so many rules, does this come as a surprise? Shouldn't a mistake, an honest one that does not jeopardize the integrity or standing of the Board be dealt with first GENTLY by bringing it to the attention of the negligent poster?
Why to jump the gun so quickly? It does not serve any purpose except a bad taste.
Any thoughts?
You violated rule no. 7:
7. Do not post, exchange by private message or include in profiles, signatures or avatars or in any other way exchange links to any other forum, blog site or Yahoo or MSN group or similarly exchange passwords to any paysite.
Only admins can read pms (to ensure that there are no rule violations made) and svinto gave you a temporary one (one month) for this violation. That's all.
If you drive too fast and get a ticket, you have to pay the fine (at least if you're no celeb).
A (temporary) warning
is fair, a ban would overshoot the mark.

That wouldn't be fair. VIP or Non-VIP, new or long-time member, each member should be treated equal.
Therefore the rules apply to everybody here without exception.
