Back at the "hideout", we meet the last member of the gang - a French (?) girl that's the group leader's girlfriend. The scheme is to extort $1 million from Lorelei's wealthy father. All goes well until some inner turmoil amongst the abductors lead to some bloody results, and we find that the whole plan may not have been as it seemed from the start...The little bit of storyline that there is ends up carrying this film - and the "twist" ending is a bit of a welcome surprise, as it shows at least a touch of effort was put into the production. The sex scenes are nothing too notable, and there are some odd "inserts" that don't really fit but are added in for some odd reason (though the film contains hardcore material as it is...). Not a bad way to kill 70 minutes, but there's better roughie material out there. Only really recommended for completists...6.5/10

IMDB lists this film as a ADULT / COMEDY/ MYSTERY which tells me they believe there's more going on here than the many mindless porn videos that Rollin made during the 1970's & 80's. Also a check of the Njuta Films website shows that they are not a porn distribution house. They generally release collections by cult directors or films which have some unusual quality or exceptional merit worthy of this type of DVD restoration and attention. This is the only hardcore Rollin film they have included in their Jean Rollin Collection.

Commercially viable at the time, these projects allowed him to make a living and his stamp is still evident throughout some of this work, a good example being 1976's Countess X. The movie begins when a masked thief roams around the forest outside a stately home. She heads in, tries to grab the jewelry but is interrupted. From here she sets into motion her master plan. She somehow learns that a group of very wealthy people will be gathering together at a huge old mansion out in the country for a day of drinking and debauchery. She decides that since none of the attendees know the true identity of the party's host, known only as Countess X, that she'll assume the host's identity, drug the champagne to distract the attendees, and make off with all of their jewelry. Eventually of course, the true Countess X (Karine Gambier), shows up. Rachel Mhas, who also worked on adult films Vibrations Sexualles, The Seduction Of Amy and The Night Of The Hunted for director Rollin, makes for an interesting lead here. She's got a mischievous and slinky sort of sex appeal to her that makes her fun to watch and she seems to be having a good time skulking around playing the burglar.
